What's New
Multi-Stage Sleep Detection
Our validated algorithm now identifies four distinct sleep stages:
- Awake - Periods of wakefulness during the night
- Light Sleep (N1/N2) - Transition stages, easily disrupted
- Deep Sleep (N3) - Critical for physical recovery
- REM Sleep - Essential for cognitive function and memory
Sleep Quality Score
A single 0-100 score that considers:
- Total sleep duration
- Sleep efficiency (time asleep vs. time in bed)
- Sleep stage distribution
- Number of awakenings
- HRV during sleep
Personalized Insights
The dashboard now provides actionable insights based on sleep patterns:
"Sarah spent 45 minutes less in deep sleep than her baseline. Consider checking for evening caffeine or screen time."

Our sleep staging algorithm has been validated against polysomnography (the gold standard) with:

- Ensure clients are wearing the CardioWatch during sleep
